Congratulations to 22 year old Pilialoha Gaison of Kaneohe, Oahu for winning the title of Miss Hawaii 2006. Miss Gaison qualified to complete in the Miss Hawaii contest by winning the title of Miss Island Ilima. She describes her heritage as "mixed plate" because she is a combination of Hawaiian, Tahitian, Spanish, German, Italian, Filipino and Portugese. Pilialoha Gaison will represent Hawaii at the next Miss America Contest, the date and location of which will be announced soon.
