2006 Album of the Year: "Maui" by Hapa
The big winner at this week's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards was the album "Maui" by Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau of the duo Hapa. The album won awards for album of the year, contemporary album of the year, best graphics, and best engineering. Hapa partner Nathan Aweau also won awards for best male vocalist and best jazz album for two of his solo albums. For all 2006 Na Hoku Hanohano award winners see:
