MTV has announced they will air two new reality shows in 2007 that are being filmed now on Maui. One of the new programs is called "Living Lahaina" and it features a group of surfing instructors based at the Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy in Lahaina. Their adventures will be filmed all over the island of Maui and a few scenes will be filmed on other islands. The cast and crew will be a mix of local Hawaii residents and non-islanders. The second program is called "Island Fever", and it will feature the tourism and local culture of Maui. Eight thirty-minute programs are being filmed of each show.
