Ruth's Chris Steak House is building two new locations in Hawaii, one at Mauna Lani on the Big Island and the other in Waikiki. The slightly odd name of this restaurant came about in 1965 when single mother Ruth Furtel purchased the Chris Steak House in Louisiana. Today Ruth's is one of the most successful of the high-end, traditional steak houses, with more then 90 locations around the world.
