The 22nd annual Koloa Plantation Days Festival is taking place now on the island of Kauai. Koala Plantation Days is a celebration of the cultures of the different ethnic groups who immigrated to Hawaii to work in Hawaii's sugar industry. Many different events are part of the celebration including historic tours, cultural demonstrations, sports events, a luau, and live entertainment. On Saturday July 29 there will be a historic parade through Koloa Town followed by an all-day celebration at Koloa Ball Park and the conclusion of an outrigger canoe race from Oahu to Kauai. The Koloa Plantation Days Rodeo will take place on Sunday, July 30.
