Bishop Museum Closes Hawaiian Hall Until 2008
The Bishop Museum in Honolulu has closed their three-floor Hawaiian Hall Gallery in order to begin a $20 million renovation project. Elevators and air conditioning will be added to the building and the exhibits in the Hawaiian Hall will be revamped to cover Hawaiian history from the perspective of the Hawaiians themselves. The Hawaiian Hall is expected to re-open in the Spring of 2008. For photos of the Bishop Museum and more details about the renovation project see:
