Hawaii May Bid on the 2016 Super Bowl

Aloha Stadium Aloha Stadium in Honolulu wants to upgrade their facility so Hawaii can make a credible bid to host the 2016 Super Bowl. They want to spend $129 million on a stadium makeover in order to lure the National Football League (NFL) 50th Super Bowl game to Hawaii. One downside to the proposed plan is that the seats would have to be permanently locked in the football position. Right now the stadium has three configurations: an oval for football, a diamond for baseball, and a triangle for concerts and similar events.
