Volunteer to Count Hawaiian Birds
Every year the Hawaii Audubon Society organizes a mass effort to count birds on the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, and Molokai. Participants do not need to have any experience. They will be part of a field party counting birds sighted and heard in a particular 15 mile (24 kilometer) area. There is a $5 USD fee to participate, which is a donation to help cover expenses.
