Hiking With Dogs on Oahu
This is more of an activity for locals then for visitors to Hawaii, because of the islands' strict quarantine laws, but on December 31, members of the "Paws on the Path" canine and human trekking club are hiking with their dogs on the Peacock Flats Trail in Mokuleia on the north shore of Oahu. Rules for all "Paws on the Path" hikes: One dog per person, dogs must be on a leash at all times, and owners must bring plastic bags to pick up after their pets. For more3 information see the Hawaii Humane Society Paws on the Path Web site.
