There is a sunset torch lighting and conch shell ceremony at Kuhio Beach in Waikiki almost every evening, followed by a hula show featuring some of Hawaii's finest performers. The performances take place on the Kuhio Beach hula mound, which is near the Duke Kahanamoku statue. The event is free and it takes place from 6 to 7 pm. Seating is on the lawn and beach chairs are permitted. For a schedule of performers, see the city of Honolulu Culture and Arts Calendar (select the current month's PDF calendar).
