Oahu North Shore Expansion Plan Includes 5 Hotels

The owners of the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu plan to build five new hotels and additional condos and timeshare units that will add 3500 hotel rooms and residential units to the north shore. Some Hawaii residents and visitors are concerned about the impact that project will have on north shore traffic, which is already a big problem. Those visitors and residents would also like to retain the rural quality of the north shore, and have tourism development on Oahu limited to Waikiki and Ko Olina. The developer says the project will bring jobs to the area and they also say they will look for creative and innovative solutions to address the community's concerns. Here is more information:
