Punchbowl Crater Memorial Day Service
The Annual Honolulu Mayor's Memorial Day Service will take place on Monday, May 29 at 8:30 am at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Punchbowl Crater, near downtown Honolulu. Memorial wreaths will be placed on the cemetary's dedicatory stone, thousands of flower leis will be placed on the graves, the Hickam Air Force Honor Guard will fire a 21-gun rifle salute, four Hawaii Air National Guard 199th Squadron fighter jets will fly a "Missing Man" formation over the cemetery, and there will be performances by the Honolulu Boy's Choir and the Royal Hawaiian Band.
