2006 Hawaiian Culture Awards
In May of 2006, the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) announced the fourteen recipients of their 2006 Hawaiian Culture Program Awards. The award winners were selected based on criteria designed to address the goals and objectives identified in the Hawaii Tourism Authority's Strategic Plan for 2005 through 2015. The Hawaii Tourism Authority was created in 1998 to promote and sustain Hawaii's visitor industry.
