In early 2006 the County of Kauai and the Hawaii Tourism Authority teamed up to create a program called "Kauai Made", to increase the visibility of products made on the island of Kauai, or made with ingredients from Kauai. The program will make labels available to producers and retailers of products made in Kauai, and it will publish brochures and a Web site featuring all of the "made in Kauai" products that are part of the program.
