Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Will Close for 6 Months
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the Kapalua Resort area of Maui will close for six months, between June and December of 2007, for a $95 million renovation. The number of units in the hotel will be reduced from 548 hotel rooms to 363 hotel rooms and 107 full ownership condominium units. The condominiums are expected to start selling for about $900,000 each, and they will probably be rented to vacationers for around $500 per night. The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua is a luxury hotel on 50 acres of land on the northwest shore of Maui, inside the Kapalua master planned resort area.
