This week, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced the five recordings nominated for the 2007 Grammy award for best Hawaiian music album. Three of the five nominations were for slack key guitar albums. The other two nominees were "Generation Hawaii" by Amy Hanaialii Gilliom and "The Wild Hawaiian" by Henry Kapono. The 49th annual grammy awards will be given out at a ceremony on February 11, 2007 in Los Angeles, California.
