Annie is Coming to Kauai in 2006

Annie on Kauai The Hawaii Children's Theater of Kauai is bringing the musical Annie to the Kauai Memorial Conventional Hall in Lihue for nine performances, November 10-12, November 17-19, and November 24-26. Before the opening night performance there will be a special fund-raising show by the Kauai Community Players called "Annie's Big Apple Bash". Tickets to the fund raiser will include a pre-show deli dinner with beer wine and entertainment, premium reserved seating for the opening night of Annie, backstage tour, and a chance to win a cameo appearance in the opening night production of Annie.

    North Shore Oahu Seafood Festival

    Seafood Festival Shrimp The annual Turtle Bay Resort Seafood Festival will take place November 17-28, 2006 at the Turtle Bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu. The event will feature a "Taste of the North Shore Shrimp Trucks" shrimp tasting event on Friday evening, November 17 and the annual "Sam Choy Poke Contest" on the evening of November 18. Poke is a dish made of raw fish seasoned in different ways that is very popular in Hawaii. If you have a great poke recipe you should enter the contest yourself! For more information see:

  • Crazy Shirts Hawaii Earthquake T-Shirt

    Crazy Shirt Earthquake T-Shirt Crazy Shirts of Hawaii has created an "I survived the Quakes" T-shirt and they are selling them on the Web and at Crazy shirts retail stores for $23 each. A portion of the proceeds of all shirt sales will be donated to local Hawaii charities to support the recovery of those whose homes and lives were affected by the October 15, 2006 earthquake that was centered off the west coast of the Big Island.
