PacificBasin Communications, the owner of resident-targeted Honolulu Magazine has purchased visitor-targeted Hawaii Magazine from BowTie Incorporated in Irvine, California. John Heckathorn, who was the editor of Honolulu Magazine from 1993 to 1995, will be the new editor of Hawaii Magazine. Hawaii Magazine has a circulation of approximately 75,000 and it is published every two months. In addition to Honolulu Magazine, PacificBasin Communications also publishes Hawaii Business Magazine, and Hawaii Home and Remodeling Magazine.
