Effort to Shut Down Go! Airlines Failed
A United States bankruptcy court has denied Hawaiian Airlines' request for a preliminary injuction that would have shut down inter-island Go! Airlines for one year. Hawaiian Airlines says that when Go! owner Mesa Airlines considered buying Hawaiian, they obtained company proprietary data which was later used to launch rival Go! Airlines. The ruling by bankruptcy judge Robert Faris read "The evidence raises real doubts about the propriety of Mesa's conduct, but Hawaiian did not meet the stringent standard for a preliminary injunction.". In related news, Go! Airlines partnered earlier this month with Pleasant Holidays, a leading provider of Hawaii tours, in order to offer vacation packages on the Go! Airlines Web site.
