The Hawaii Council on Portuguese Heritage is organizing a Portuguese Festa that will take place October 7-8, 2006 at the McCoy Pavilion in Honolulu's Ala Moana Park from 10 am to 5 pm. The event will feature traditional Portuguese foods such as malasadas, bean soup, linguica, and sweet bread, plus craft and cooking demonstrations, cultural displays, video presentations, geneology resources, and local artists and vendors. Admission will be $3 for adults and free for children. For more information phone 808-845-1616.
