Introduction to Molokini Island

Molokini Island Molokini is small crescent shaped island, about 2.5 miles off the coast of Maui. It is actually the tip of an inactive underwater volcanic crater. Molokini has been designated by the State of Hawaii as a Marine Life and Bird Conservation District, and it is a popular destination for snorkeling, scuba diving, and kayaking tours. There are no hotels, restaurants, or development of any kind on Molokini, and it can only be reached by boat.
